Discover Besalú, one of Catalonia's best-preserved medieval towns, on a private tour with a local guide. An exclusive experience that combines medieval heritage, Jewish legacy, and local cuisine in a unique setting.
We'll start by exploring the iconic 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià River, with its seven arches and access gates, one of the most emblematic images of the region. Next, we'll venture into the Jewish Quarter, where you'll learn about its history, cultural legacy, and importance in the Middle Ages, alongside the ancient 12th-century mikvah, one of the few preserved medieval Jewish ritual baths in Europe.
We will continue our tour through the historic center of Besalú, a network of cobbled streets and perfectly preserved medieval architecture that keeps the essence of the town intact.
We'll then stop at a viewpoint with panoramic views of the bridge and the medieval surroundings, an ideal moment to contemplate the landscape and understand the historical and strategic importance of this unique location.
To finish, we'll enjoy a gastronomic experience of approximately 1 hour at a local wine cellar, with a selection of 3 wines from small local producers and local artisan charcuterie, in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere that puts the finishing touch on the tour.
